- When should I start using Petitcalm?
Unless your newborn is a preemie (less than 37 weeks), you can start using Petitcalm with your baby as soon as it is delivered until the baby is one year old.
- How does Petitcalm work?
Petitcalm works by pressing the buttons on the mat and through Petitcalm bluetooth app. The mat is battery operated.
- Where can I use Petitcalm?
Petitcalm can be used anytime everywhere. It can folded or rolled for easy transportation. Petitcalm can be used in baby's crib, bassinet, in a pack and play, on activity mat, on baby's car sear, on stroller, on baby carrier and white holding the baby. Be sure to follow all safety instructions for Petitcalm.
- Does Petitcalm have an age limit or weight limit?
There is no age or weight limit with Petitcalm. The amount of weight on top of the mat may affect the strength of the vibrations or the battery life.
- Can I leave my baby alone with Petitcalm on?
Petitcalm is designed to be a safe and portable; but we wouldn’t advise leaving your baby alone with Petitcalm for an extended period of time.
- Is Petitcalm safe for babies?
Petitcalm meets Children's Product Certificate Standards per the CPSC as well as all other applicable USA safety laws based on testing with a third-party laboratory. All contact areas are phthalate-free, BPA-free, and lead-free. Common sense safety considerations are included in our labeling and use instructions.
- Are vibration and white noise safe for babies?
Vibrations and white noise are also safe for baby. There is currently no clinical data regarding vibrations being harmful to babies and similar vibrating products have been on the market and in use for 10 years or longer without any known ill effects.
- Is bluetooth safe for babies?
Bluetooth has a significantly lower level of SAR than Wi-Fi and smartphones (SAR: specific absorption rates, it is the test used by FDA and used to approximate the rate of absorption by the human body of radio emissions). Petitcalm was designed with your baby’s safety in mind, and the product has passed and complies with both these safety standards.
- How long do the batteries last using Petitcalm?
The way you use Petitcalm will affect how long the batteries will last. Based on our testing using the batteries and typical use, you should expect at least 30-50 hours of battery life.
- Is Petitcalm washable?
For the mat, the soft cotton cover is removable and washable. The water resistant inner lining can be wiped down with a cloth. Do not submerge any part of the mat in liquids, it could damage the mat’s electronic components.
For the blanket, swaddle and scent absorbing pads , they are all washable.
