How it works
Petitcalm comes with an electronic mat, a soothing blanket, a swaddle/sleep sack, two scent absorbing pads and Petitcalm bluetooth app.
Petitcalm works by pressing the buttons on the mat and through Petitcalm bluetooth app.
1- Electronic Mat
The mat has following features: vibration, white noise and lullaby music. The mat can be used in full size or half size (only the electronic small foam) and has four control buttons for vibration on/off, white noise on/off , volume up and volume down. The mat is battery operated.
The mat has a side pocket that allows you to remove the small electronic small foam and place it in the blanket.
The mat’s cover is 100% cotton, washable and removable. The mat is waterproof and easy to clean by using damp cloth.
The features on the mat (vibration, white noise and lullaby music) sooth the babies and help them sleep better. Also, the mat can be used as a gas relief, the gentle vibration motions help with digestion issues when placed around the baby's stomach.
2- Soothing blanket
The blanket is 100% cotton. It has a pocket is the middle and it can be used as a regular blanket or soothing blanket by inserting the electronic small foam inside the blanket's pocket.
3- Swaddle/ sleep sack
The swaddle is made of 100% cotton and it can be worn with arms in or out. Customers can choose the size of the swaddle or the sleep sack.
Swaddling has many benefits for babies; it helps babies sleep better and longer, it recreates the secure and cozy feeling of the womb, it helps maintain the optimal temperature for the baby, and helps the baby maintain the supine position during sleep which prevents SIDS.
With Petitcalm swaddle, babies tend to fall asleep more quickly and stay asleep more consistently throughout the night.
4- Scent absorbing pad
It is made of light breathable fabric. Parents wear these scent absorbing pads next to their skin, absorbing their respective scents.
Mothers may choose to wear it inside a bra. Parents may choose to pin the pad to the inside of a blouse or shirt.
After placing the scent absorbing pad in contact with the parent's skin for at least one hour , it can be attached to the swaddle or the blanket which allows the baby to smell his parent’s scent.
Within six to nine months of a pregnancy, babies can detect and memorize certain scents while in the womb, including the scent of a mother. Studies have proven that babies are comforted by the scent of their parents, when a baby smells parent’s scent, it reduces cortisol levels, lowers stress and calms the baby.
Petitcalm scent pad allows the baby to sleep in the comfort of the parent's special scent.
5- Petitcalm bluetooth app
- Go to the Apple App Store or Google play and research for Petitcalm.Then, download the app.
- Make sure the bluetooth is enable on your device.
- Pair your bluetooth with H3.
- Open the Petitcalm App and connect.
- Vibration runs for two hours but it can be stopped anytime by using the vibration OFF button.
- White noise runs for one hour and can be stopped anytime by pressing the Stop button.
- Music: it plays lullaby music for one hour and can be stopped anytime by pressing the Stop button.
